At Grateful MD DPC, we provide certified Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations required for all commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers.
Our evaluations are conducted by a FMCSA-certified medical examiner, ensuring full
compliance with federal safety standards and medical requirements.
Purpose of the DOT Physical
The DOT physical examination is designed to verify that each driver is physically, mentally, and emotionally fit to safely operate a commercial vehicle. This assessment helps promote road safety and supports drivers in maintaining their professional certifications.
What your DOT Physical Examination includes
* Comprehensive review of your medical history
* Evaluation of vision, hearing, blood pressure, and heart health
* Physical examination of major body systems
* Urinalysis (for medical conditions, not drug testing)
Drivers who meet the necessary medical standards will receive their Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) on the same day of the examination.
